My grandmother used to say that to me all the time. For a long time, I heard it but didn’t fully understand it. Until life made me.
Fear is loud. It shows up as doubt, hesitation, and the urge to stay where things feel safe. But she believed that everything good lives on the other side of that voice. Not by fighting it, but by choosing something greater. Choosing faith, intention, and trust.
Everything above fear.
When she passed, I knew I wanted to carry her forward. Not just her words, but the way she made me feel. Seen. Like I could slow down and still be enough.
Her initials were E.A.F. That became the name.
11:11
My grandmother passed on November 11th (11/11). If you know anything about angel numbers, you know that 11:11 is a sign of alignment and a reminder that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
I didn’t plan that connection, but when I realized it, I understood this brand was always meant to be more than candles. It was meant to be a practice.
11:11 was the first candle I ever created. It is still the heart of Everything Above Fear.
MORE THAN A CANDLE
Everything Above Fear is a Black-owned, women-owned self-care brand based in Atlanta, built on the belief that rest is not earned, it is necessary.
That slowing down is not falling behind and that what you say to yourself matters.
Every candle is created with intention. Not to sit in the background, but to be experienced. Each one includes an affirmation card and a ritual you can return to, again and again.
And beyond the flame, our body care carries that same intention into your day, so the feeling stays with you.

This is for anyone who is doing the work, showing up, building something, and carrying more than anyone sees. The one who sometimes forgets they deserve the same care they give everyone else.
